Rethink the "Rebirth"

i disagree with the author. I think Lil Wayne "Rebirth" album was a good album because it showed a different side of him. He is an artist that is talented and creative and is not scared to try something new.For example, how he uses heavy metal and changes his voice to relate his feelings with his songs. He is a artist that is not afford to mix hip-hop with hard metal. Which the title fits perfectly with his album.

16 & pregnant

16 and Pregnant reflects the reality of parenthood. For example Chelsea pregnant with a baby girl and her irresponsible boyfriend. this shows that many young teens reflect on there friends and being popular rather then finishing what they started.In one episode Chelsea needed her boyfriend to go with her to see the Doctor but he was too busy going to out to parties and working on his car. This shows that he was a careless person and did not care about his child.This was his responsibility as well as Chelsea.This reflects on many teens and how they are not responsible to take care of a baby in such a young age. Another important part in this episode would be the family.Chelsea's family was important because both mom and dad to supported her even though they were not happy. Unlike her boyfriend rather do other things like going to parties instead of seeing his child.

this semester

There are many things I've learned in class this semester from popular culture to how to write a great essay. I have enjoyed being in prof. Wahl and Simon's class. Ive learned how to correct my papers right even though it can be hard sometimes. i enjoyed popular culture the most this semester because it taught me many things like were the food really comes from and how we should eat. For example the Video inc. video, Chew on This,and Omnivore's Dilemma are most of the texts we saw and learned from. One of my difficult tasks in class would be minor details in the essays. It might seem easy but sometimes i get so into the major details and main idea of the essay i tend to forget about minor details. Thanks to both of my professors i could understand reading and writing better. For example it was easier to understand writing essays after going over main ideas,major and minor details. This helped me a lot,making it easier to understand what the professor wanted because we had just gone over it. i had a great time and experienced many things. What i learned the most was that you can express yourself by writing but in the proper way.

Toxic eww

Toxic toxic everywhere you go.
Having mc Donalds right around the corner. I am a toxic person when it comes to transportation because I have to take the metro and a bus to come to school. Also I barly have time to eat at home so I depend on fast food restuarants to do the job for me, which is not a good idea. It is so easy to find any fast food restuarants like kfc, wendys, mc donalds ect.. This is not good because people are getting even more lazy an not wanting to cook. For example, I have to stop by 711 to get a snack or drink because I was in a rush to leave home I knew that once I got to school or near school I could depend on other food that I knew was already made.

A bagel with cheese: crispy toasty creamy bagel and cheese
cup of coffee: hot watering taste

kit-kat: chocolatey crispy melting taste
turkey sandwich: toasted bread fresh crispy lettuce with cold turkey
cup of watter: cold fresh taste
Dinner:
cup of coca-cola: icy cold soda
Cesar salad: fresh crispy juicy salad

Books are better!

The Characters are better in a book then the TV Show for many reasons.When reading a book like Double Deuce people are able to use their imagination.They can imagine how the characters might look like or where the setting takes place by the discribiton in the book. For example in Double Deuce chapter 36,page 196 describing Tony Marcus as a "middle-sized black guy,a little soft,with a careful moustache". People are able to express how they might see the characters UN like the TV shows that give us the characters.

Double Deuce

I choose chapter 36 when Hawk and Spenser go meet Tony Marcus at the muffin shop in the arcade of south station. Hawk and Spenser try to find out who killed the young girl and need him to answer some questions. i imagine what hawk is thinking while they go meet Tony.


Spenser and I are walking to go meet Tony Marcus finally giving in to talk to us like he had no other choice. Spenser was getting annoying saying by saying stupid questions like" Tony like Muffins". Clearly he doesn't understand that Tony was doing this because he likes open public places. Also because Tony wasn't dumb,he knew that in a public place riot cant happen. As we walked toward Tony Spenser grabbed two coffees and gave me one. When doesn't Spenser try to be funny which clearly didn't work out. tony trying to be funny tells Spenser if he wanted a muffin and of course Spenser would say "Good muffins". I was like "Jesus Christ" is he serious right now. I just wanted to get this over with even though i dont really care.Then Spenser and I grabbed his atenttion by saying they were doing a five-part investagation series on the best local televison show. He knew what Spenser and i were talking about. Even though Tony was cheaking out my girl by saying " the Blonde broad with the big boobs". Yes, i smiled and Spenser too.

Madam C J Walker was the first black self made millionaire for inventing a conditioner treatment to straighten hair and for beauty cosmetics. Thanks to her everyone can look and feel beautiful.Cosmetics is a great effect in popular culture because everyone depends on make-up like modals, celebrities, and media itself to look good.This is a big part of how woman today are beautiful. Thanks to Madam C J Walker like popular culture you can see it wherever you go.Pop culture influences in how might they use make-up like what colors are in style. Its clear that you see cosmetics on t.v,movies, and even billboard because its something a lot of people like modals,woman,teens, even guys will use. Madam c J was very smart to invent something so useful in our lives. Thanks to you madam C J Walker we can all look beautiful.

The "real" world

The real world is a good show to watch  and see if eight random people can live under the same roof. This is entertianin g and wired at the same time. This is entertianing because it's random people you don't know don't even know how they live. This show shows how people can be polite but after living with somone your not use to then you don't become so polite you start seeing thierry real side. This shows how people can change in just a couple of days. In the show there are fights about religon and additude. I like how in the beginning they are all nice trying to get to know people but at the end of the day they don't want to be near you. This shows that People are so use to thier family leting them do what they want that when they come to this house with poeple you don't know you think it's ok to joke around or not do your bed but it's not.

Phineas and Ferb
is one of my favorite TV shows. This TV show comes on Disney channel everyday around 4 o'clock. It is a animated TV show about two brothers and what they do during the summer vacation. They usually design something different everyday. This TV show is close to "real" in a sense that it shows what typical family's do. For example,they take a trip to the grocery store or play in their back yard. It is also "real" in how they use typical things you would find at home. For example,they use popsicle sticks to build and play in their back yard. Even though it's a cartoon show, they have unrealistic things. For example, you cant build a roller coaster in your backyard out of popsicle sticks. In this TV show it has the typical family and what the kids might do during the summer. Its also non realistic because these two brothers cant build roller coasters,space ships,beaches etc..in id="SPELLING_ERROR_6their back yard classcorrected">that's not possibleso i like this show because it shows a mixture of realistic and imagination at the same time.

FC Barcelona !!

I loved the game of FC Barcelona when they played Real madrid on friday night. This was a hot sunny day in Europe, Camp Nou were screaming fans were waiting to see which truely was the Best Team in Europe. Clearly i had to watch it on t.v because i was in maryland plus try getting a ticket. Anyways Barca and Real finally came out and Real madrid kicked it off first half. the game was on and everyone was anxious to see who was going to score first. ten minutes into the game out of nowhere comes Christiano Ronaldo (playing forward) and kicks the ball almost making it into the goalie net. Likely Valdes the goalie cought the ball leaving the Real fans mad. this time Barcelona had the ball and started playing xavi would pass it to Messi and when messi has the ball no one could take it away. So as he was getting closer to the goalie net Kaka came to steal the ball away when Messi saw he was coming the kicked the ball. So all the fans got up to see if it had gone in and it did. Making it 1-0 vs. Real. All Barcelona Fans were screaming while the Real fans were upset. I on the other hand was HAPPY!! At home in my pj's jumping up and down. Yes my mom thought i was crazy but i on the other hand thought i was thier in the Balcelona stadium. Once again real was mad so it made them want to score. They quickly started playing, leaving Barca behind. They passed it to Kaka and he shoot it making it in. so now real had one and Barca had one then Barca was upset and they made the another goal. Being 2-1 and before the reff blew the whistle for half time Barca came out of nowhere leaving Real 3-1. i WAs So Happy that we were winning, only u were there to have seen my reaction. During half time icould finally get up to go get more snacks and do some othere stuff. Then two minutes for the second half to start i ran to the couch to sit again for the next 45minutes. As i see on the t.v the two teams coming out. The reff blows the whislte and thier off again. Real with the ball starts fast,too fast they lost the ball puyol (defences),the captian has the ball and kicks it to Mess that is open and kicks it to the goalie net making it 4-1. The fans were going crazy! but the real fans were disapionted. Then Real came back and scored a goal. the game was intense, going back and forth trying to win. it ended up being 89minutes into the game Real loosing 6-2. Then the reff sounded the whistle saying the game was done. BArcelona my FaVorite Team WINNING!! 6-2 i was the Happiest girl the house,me being so proud of my team doing so well. Even thogh my mom thought i had completelly lost it. I didnt care i was just happy my team had won the Trophie.
